How to Request a Project Proposal:

Please use the “tell us about your project” section to provide us with the necessary information to provide an accurate proposal. Missing information may result in processing delays.

The following are examples of details needed to provide an accurate proposal for your project:

• Jurisdiction Information

  • City, county, etc.

• Owner Information

  • Name of LLC OR Owner’s name (if not LLC)

• Project Address

  • Please provide the current address, we understand this may change later. This in addition to the billing address information provided above.

• Project Type?

  • Single family or multi-family? Apartments? Townhomes? DADU?

• Number of Units?

  • How many total units are you seeking to be verified?

• Conditioned Floor Area

  • CFA is the area of the building intentionally heated and/or cooled via mechanical systems to maintain a controlled temperature. It represents the thermally conditioned space that impacts energy use.

  • Includes:

    • Heated/cooled living spaces

    • Hallways within conditioned zones

    • Finished basements if mechanically heated/cooled

  • Does not include:

    • Unconditioned garages, attics, or crawl spaces

    • Mechanical rooms outside thermal envelope

    • Ventilated but unheated storage or utility spaces

  • Purpose:
    Used for energy modeling, code compliance (IECC, ASHRAE), HVAC sizing, energy certification programs (like Built Green, LEED, Passive House).

• Target Certification Program, if applicable

  • Built Green, LEED, PHIUS (Passive House), DOEZERH, ESDS - if applicable

• Target Certification Level, if applicable

  • Built Green: Star Level, this is most commonly 4-Star for jurisdiction requirements - if applicable

  • LEED: Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum

• Files up to 400MB

  • Please include the most recent available set of plans, any permits, arborist reports, and/or demolition information that you have available.
